Officially Waiting!!!!!

My file was sent from Edmonton to Addis on Feb 19. After travelling to Memphis, Paris, Dubai it landed in Ethiopia on Feb 24!!! Since that time I have been stalking the fed ex web page waiting for any update. I called CAFAC yesterday and they said to check back next week as it might be until then before it gets picked up. However I decided to go against that and check this morning and to my surprise it was picked up this morning!!!!! So I guess that means that I am OFFICIALLY WAITING!!!! Now I realize this is going to be a very long wait but also very excited about it!!!!

Dossier is on the way to the AB government!!!

I checked the mail today as I have not checked in in many days. To my surprise a copy of my dossier and a letter stating that it has been sent to the AB government as the last step prior to sending it onto Ethiopia!!!! What a great way to end a long weekend!

Now I guess what I need to do is start the immigration paperwork! I look forward to the day that I can write that I am "officially waiting"! Hopefully it won't take long!

Packages and News!

It has been such a busy week that I didn't get the chance to sit down and write in my blog. My secret pal parcel arrived this week! It was fantastic!! In it was one of my favorite books "I love you forever" , some forever family fridge magnets, a "waiting" pendant and a cool book to record special moments. Receiving these packages is always so fun and I have to say that my secret pal defiantly spoils me rotten!!!

I also got an email from CAFAC last week and they had called the Ethiopian embassy (in Canada) to see if my documents arrived since the tracking system was not working and CAFAC had sent them last Tuesday. Apparently they have already been authenticated and the lady at CAFAC said they should be back this week!!! I hope they made it back as after this step is some compliing (by CAFAC) and photocopying and then my file will be sent to the Alberta Government on its way to Ethiopia!!!! I am hoping to be "offically waiting" soon!
